"For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" - Revelation 6:17

4.5 billion years ago the earth was created.

444 million years ago, the Ordovician extinction wiped out 86% of all living species at the time because of an ice age. A natural catastrophe.

251 million years ago, the Permian extinction occurred. 96% of living things. Disappeared. Gone. Why? Because of natural catastrophe.

65 million years ago the dinosaurs along with 75% of all living species disappeared from existence. This time, the cause stemmed from a gargantuan rock that hailed from the skies, from far above, trembling the land it struck.

Foreign matter. Was this a sign?

In the grand scheme of the universe, evident is (or was) our role as mankind.

To prolong history.

History has taught us the greatest achievements of the living. And the many failures. But I don't think we will be able to write down our latest failure. Or maybe it's just another failure. Because the success of one is the failure of others.

History may just be a list of many failures.

Pessimism flows in me. And I let it flow. Because dry are the rivers of hope.

What is this throne that we seek?

It is the throne that everyone seeks.

The throne that gives us power.

The throne that gives us all.

The throne that is desired by all

The throne that is also feared by all.

For when thee lay to rest on the throne

Thee shall not rest for long

For history hath spoken

And history will remain

And history will rip you from thy throne

For history will stay

and history proclaims that

Thou shall not remain in the throne

For a successor will come

And sit where you sat

And many more successors will come.

Is it time to give it up?

We'll see.
