Paths That Deem Fit

Paths that deem fit may lead to a burning, painful pit of spikes. Roads that appear safe may be of unsound ground, only to result in collapse after the lightest bit of weight. Stairs that appear sturdy crumble only at the end of ones flight up on it. Ladders that seem to hold fall apart as soon as you choose to step foot on it. Consider all your steps and the turns you make, all the voices you hear, all the beatings and ripping of the heart and soul, of what you see and of what you don't see, the colours of the attractive and unattractive. But it is also not in my power to grant these things that you seek. And yet I would like to believe I am going down the right path.
